Very many thanks for that expert input Raimund!
I find it both odd, and at the same time reassuring, that higher gain
settings produce less noise.
I have only just received my ME66/K6 combo, and so have not done any
'serious' recording with it, mainly because the right angle XLR
connector I have, won't fit inside the blimp. I ordered a new straight
one and they made it with an XLR plug instead of a socket! So if anyone
has a use for a short 4 feet lead with staight XLR plug on one end, and
Message: 3.
Subject: 5mm jack on other, let me know!
Cheers
