Sure, if it's the right size.

It's easy if your fabric store has long-hair fake fur with a net  
backing (see some light when you hold it up to the light).

That's intended for a short shotgun mic, and I think you're using a  
handheld stereo recorder (my memory...) so that would be the wrong  
shape.
