Curt, Thanks for getting back to me. I tried a Samson Q1U connected via usb direct to my Mac. As I said I'm a complete beginner at this and don't know what equipment I need. Yes all I want to record are the birds which sing all day outside my house. I'd like to have this on my iPod if I have to return to hospital. Thanks for your help. Sl=E1n, John |
