I my new Fostex FR 2LE on a real job for the first time this week and ran into a couple of hiccups. I think I have most of them sorted out by now. One thing I don't understand though is the relationship between the trim knobs and the recording level knobs. Is are the just two sets of potentiometers working on the very same signal or what? Why have two? I've played around with them a bit to try and get the best possible signal to noise ratio but since I have a hard time separating self noise from actual signal I'm kind of in the dark. I'd be thankful for any general tips on how to handle the trim and recording level settings. -- http://polite.se |
