I've tried working this relationship out before, tho I'm not sure with how much success: Using an ME66/K6 as a reference in a 60dB SPL soundfield, you would need to boost the NTG-1 by 10.5dB and the AT897 by 14.9dB to match the recording level of the ME66. If I'm getting this right the effective noise floors of the NTG-1 and AT897 are respectively Message: 18. Subject: 5dB and 21.9dB higher than the ME66 at the same dBFS recording level. cheers Paul |
