Thank you to everyone that has responded today. I would like to be able to listen using speakers, even, if possible, using surround sound but that's definitely above my skills at this time. I'm going to the north shore at the end of this month and hoping to catch the ice break-up on Lake Superior. It is an amazing sound. I caught it a few years ago and got great pictures but didn't have any recording equipment with me. Then I have an eight day trip into one of the most remote sections of the Boundary Waters mid-May. This means the equipment needs to be of reasonable size and weight and I need to figure out how to keep it powered. Cynthia |
