Hi Clint

Here is a link to a typical stereo bar:

http://www..dolphinmusic.co.uk/page/shop/flypage/product_id/8682

I use one of these with two K6/ME66's, mounted in Rode shock mounts, both w=
ith Rycote Softies on and it works very well.

I can either use it hand held or attached to my camera tripod, you can get =
hold of threaded adapters to convert from the thread normally used on camer=
a tripods, 1/4 inch, to the 3/8 inch thread of the smaller microphone adapt=
er. Saves carrying both microphone and tripod around with you in the field,=
especially as I sometimes take my telescope with me as well. Both Hama and=
 Manfrotto make them.

At the moment I am experimenting with a 'barrier' style set-up using two AT=
3032's. Now rather than build a 'barrier' and attach the mics to it, I am l=
ooking into attaching the 'barrier' to the microphone. So I have fashioned =
a barrier out of 3-ply and attached that to the mic's using pipe clips. One=
barrier for each mic, then with the mics attached by their clips to the st=
ereo bar I can then have almost any configuration I like. So the mics can b=
e parallel, pointing inwards or outwards, just by adjusting the position of=
the mics on the stereo bar. I also intend to experiment with an absorbent =
barrier between the mics, so again the stereo bar would prove to be very us=
eful allowing adjustment of the mics relative to the central absorbent barr=
ier.

sure how critical dimensions need to be.can someone please advise.

Also still trying to find the NC5MX/FX-HD' s in the USA....not easy,so

far markertek has almost completed my order 'cept for these...waiting

to hear back.

A while back someone on the group had bought a Batterygeek 10-14-88

and I have been trying to get one of these however so far the

Batterygeek guys have not replied to my repeated email attempts for

assistance.. .are these Batterygeeks reliable and OK to deal with?

thanks clint
