<<When I tested my matched NT1-A's with pink noise I got a quieter mono channel but the waveforms surely didn't cancel out. >> How are these matched? Does Rode provide hand selected capsules as matched ensembles? I didn't think they had that capability. Most manufacturers which sell mics as packaged stereo pairs do not actually select matching units. Unless there's a certificate with the individual mics' frequency response tests included (and only the high ticket manufacturers can or do provide this) they probably are just randomly pulled from the production line without really being 'matched', & I suspect this is the case with Rode products.
