I don't know, but I will try that next time out. I don't usually erase
cards directly after uploading. Before erasing I like to back up to a
second hard drive and also onto a CD or DVD. At that point I don't
bother erasing a card at all until preparing for the next recording
session, and then I normally would have just erased and formated on
the recorder. Of course the PMD-670 issue changes that - it caught me
by surprise out on a several day recording trip where I did not have a
computer.
