Via Jim Yale on the Fostex forum I just picked up this link to the SOS forum, warning about a "Tamiya" battery that began to burn INSIDE an FR- 2LE whilst switched off (Jings !): http://www.soundonsound.com/forum/showflat.php? Cat=3D&Board=3DMRT&Number=3D509841&Searchpage=3D1&Main=3D506003&Words=3DFR- 2LE&topic=3D&Search=3Dtrue#Post509841 or http://tinyurl.com/2345r5 (If these fail try the Sound on Sound Forum, Music Recording Technology, and search FR-2LE) I normally trickle charge mine overnight and have not had the overheating that others occasionally report. But its maybe as well to check if the battery has got hot before installing it. Chris |
