Amazing, isn't it, nobody notices if it sounds right but sub-consciously, if its wrong everybody does! If the listener has to ask "what am I listening to?" then you've lost the moment and it can be very hard to get them back. Fiction has to make more sense than reality because we tent to accept reality at face value, but with fiction we are always looking to see how it works, always looking for the joins. Roger |
