External battery pack for Sony MZ RH1 MiniDisc?

Hi All

Has anyone figured out which of the commercially-available (i.e. not
self-built) external AA battery packs (USB) work reliably with the Sony MZ RH1?

I've read that the Energizer Energi-To-Go has issues (won't work unless the
Sony's gum-stick Li-Ion batt is inserted) and the Gomadic doesn't work reliably
either.

Any ideas? I'm looking for a portable external power source for the MZ RH1 that
uses AA-size NiMH rechargeables. I don't have the equipment to build it myself,
so am looking for an off-the-shelf solution.

Your wisdom greatly appreciated!

Adam

PS I've gathered quite a lot of info on the MZ RH1 vs cheaper flash recorders
(Edirol R 09, MicroTrack etc.). I'm leaning heavily towards the MiniDisc. I
will shortly post a summary of what I have learned for the benefit of the group.
