This is Georgia, which is hell bent on subdividing and destroying
everything. Our local government helps the developers. The subdivision
on my N property line will dump all it's wastewater from 20 acres of
subdivision across my land, with the help of the county who would not
even listen to me or any of my neighbors. All I can do is sue when
damages occur.

Actually there I've been toying with putting in a dam and growing
mosquitoes and poisonous snakes for the city folks to enjoy. And they
would provide the water.

Folks go all kind of environmentally active about distant places, but
few do so about their own area. As long as that does not change, there
is little hope.

My tractor is a bit small for such work. But I do have a backhoe and
front loader for it. Takes moving a huge amount of soil. Each year it
grows in size. Won't ever be near as big as the swamp however, that had
a spring to feed it.
