Agreed the use of jet-skis for instance in National Park water bodies is
really off. I have heard Japanese National Parks have the "thrillcraft"
probelm too. But the biggest probelm in Australia:

Since the last five years when generators became very cheap the National
Parks in Australia are beset with the thump thump thump of these things
- thanks to those who can't venture into the wilderness without
satellite televisions, microwave ovens etc. They have 4wd caravans and
they hide their generators underneath their car bodies so the sound
echoes out into the bush (and other campers) while they suffer very
little. If any noise makes it into their caravans they just turn the TV
or stereo up. It seems to have become standard for many on these so
called 'grey nomads' to run the 'genny' every night from 6pm to 10pm...

100 metres from the mouth of Windjana gorge - a prime freshwater
crocodile breeding habitat where you can see the crocs in huge number
lying around on the sand banks - I camped in the only camp ground in
this part of the National Park amidst the deafening noise of these things..=
.

How was this allowed to happen? We need someone in the beauracracy over
here to start making the connections Les Blomberg is. Loudly enough to
be heard over the racket.

Aside from the animals it would sure improve the experience of camping
in a tent.
