As the sun gets higher in the northern hemisphere I am reminded that my dermatologist insists I have had my life-times worth of solar radiation and have to wear a wide-brimmed hat. So comes the problem of how to monitor my field recordings whilst wearing such a thing. My regular headphones are just too bulky, I have tried the "behind the neck" street style that the kids use for music but they really don't isolate enough. The hard in the ear button-type are quite uncomfortable and anyway I lose them inside my shirt. I like to be able to use my ears to find sounds, but then quickly switch to headphones to listen to what is coming through the mic. Fours hands would help, but failing that has anyone else cracked this problem ? Chris |
