Subject: [Nature Recordists] Duck Party

I have an unknown Duck to id. NW Wisconsin yesterday, but likely is
an international species. Recording in snow and wind while wearing the
Guille suit I could not use the optics to get a good enough look.
What I thought I saw was a diving, small, round, black headed duck,
with white sidewalls. Males display by arching their heads back all
the way to the water while swimming. Sound is like an old antique
party favor toy. I thought Lesser Scaup by my eyes but the sound once
I got home I don't think is right for that. I am now dreaming for it
to be a Golden Eye.
800kb download, file edited to help snow and wind.

Mics held together fine all the way to being snow and ice packed.

Any help is appreciated otherwise will figure it out sometime with
more work.
