Frogloggers were invented and first used by some of my herps friends
here in Georgia. It was (and often still is) a cassette recorder run by
a timer, but froglogger was a generic term for a setup that recorded at
intervals in the field. Here in Georgia both regular microphones and
hydrophones have been used to provide input.

Recently there is a person who has a website under the name and does
market his frogloggers. He's not associated with the original inventors
of the froglogger as far as I know, and has no exclusive right to the
name. I assume that's what had someone upset and arguments are with that
company, not any of us.

When I use the term froglogger, I'm talking more in the generic sense,
not about a specific company. I'm not associated with any company on
frogloggers.
