I agree. Selecting a specific app to launch a file is usually all one
needs to do to use many rich apps without conflicts and to start
learning cross-platform-abilities. Some people balk at this extra
step; seems like a small price to me,.. Both Apple and MS are at
often odds with my preferences after I learn more about what they
are, or could become.
A computer is a tool. I guess one has the choice to make it more
personal, but it certainly doesn't unpack that way. Rob D.
