Friends: Sometime back I asked for advice here about how to make an attenuator cable to let me record a lower volume version of a single microphone on the 2nd track of an MD recorder. This was to provide protection from clipping even though the MD recorder doesn't have separate record level controls for the two channels. I got lots of detailed help from folks here --- enough that even I (a complete electrical idiot) managed to build such a cable. Several people emailed to say they wanted to know how the thing thing came out. The answer is "very well". I'm a happy camper. On the off chance that you're interested in the details, there's a temporary web page describing the thing (it'll be boring except to real beginners like me): http://homepages.uc.edu/~pelikas/MicInlineAttenuator.html Many thanks, as always, for all the help...
