For the pilot study on orangutans, they don't know how low it could be.
Just to be on the safe side and get equipments that could record as low
as possible. Our preliminary recording does agree with Bernie that the
low seems to be around 70Hz. But wouldn't it be better to have gears
that can record as low as possible at least for such research purpose
(because we don't know in advance)? We are also wondering which recorder
the elephant sub-sound researches used for < 20Hz? Even a MKH110 is
used, what recorder would be capable to fully record the MKH110's
frequency response? I am sorry as I may not spend much time to find
literatures on elephant sound researches. But I am also wanting to have
opinions regarding the 5Hz mod on MKH20.

Thanks

Po-Jen
