Hey Guys,
I got a bit of a technical glitch. I just upgraded the firmware on
my 744T, and now I cannot import mono files into my pro tools
sessions. When I go to import a file it will be recognized as a 24
bit 48kHz file and say it can be added directly to the session, but
when it gets hung up is when it tries to calculate the overview of
the waveform. It will end up in the region list, but Pro Tools task
manager will display this message:
calculating overview Assertion in
"/Volumes/Development/vb_cliff/AlturaPorts/FileFormat/MacBuild/../FF/Audio/=
FF_AudioProperty.cpp",
line33()
When I pull the file out of the region list it will playback but
won't display a waveform, and I can't save the session since it
hasn't calculated the waveform . . . . pro tools views it as an
incomplete task.
If I record poly files pro-tools has no problems splitting the files
and calculating the waveform. I wonder if there is something new in
the file metadata that is causing a problem for pro-tools. Any
thoughts out there?
I am running the 744T with firmware version 2.10, and Pro Tools LE 7.3.1
Thanks,
Michael
