Here's a similar gadget that costs less. The Semsons Pocket Power Bank has space for four AA rechargeable cells. It draws power from 110 to 240 volts mains power outlet. It discharges the cells through a regulated USB connection. Price is $22 instead of Sony's $35, but does not include AA cells. http://www.semsons.com/pocpowban.html If you already own a AA battery charger, then here's a battery box that only discharges the batteries to provide power to USB devices.
