you can, because you are not paralleling the gates. each fet is working on =
its own. they share the load resistor, and it is across this resistor that =
the effect of paralleling (including the noise benefit) takes place.

Can you still use the parallelling trick with the LW mod? I would have
thought with the dreadful VGS spread on FETs one capsule would hog all
the action effectively turning off the others, negating the noise
benefits of that idea.
