Yes Martyn, sad indeed. I usually avoid such tragic contrasts in my
recordings, but something grabbed me with this one.
And great timing, hmm, right as you posted the horrible Whooping Crane
news.  The lofty Sandhill voices at the beginning of my recording show
some respect to the mood of the day =96 and it may have worked better to
stop there.

Wouldn't it be nice if the hunters could give up the explosions and
turn to quieter methods?  Using guns to hunt birds seems overkill to
me, like swatting flies with hammers.
