Dear recordists
I'd like to hear from anyone with experience of recording badgers, particul=
arly in the UK. I'm in the Scottish Borders.
I'm working on the soundscape of a large area, focussing on 3 sound sources=
, one of which is the badgers. Last year I set up a few times across the na=
rrow valley from the setts and out they came, snuffled around and went back=
home, in total silence. I think they've got it in for me so I'd like to g=
et them back this year. There must be times when they are sociable, in fami=
ly groups and doing all their badger calls, which I believe are quite varie=
d and well documented. As it's a mild-ish winter I'm thinking they might su=
rface early but again I don't know how noisy they are early in the season.
Any help much appreciated.
