A little over a year ago I ended up with a ride in one of our aid cars.
Spent most of the ride discussing the Toughbooks that they use as
standard equipment. Not sure which model they use, it was a B&W screen.
The paramedic I was with was one of their testing committee for them. He
said that they even ran a firetruck over one without damage.

One question I have, newer faster laptops use processors that produce a
lot of heat. How does Toughbook handle cooling the unit? Or do they just
limit themselves to less capable processors.

Rumor has it Santa is treating me to a new laptop as a reward for taking
the first successful step to becoming a cancer surviver. It won't be a
Toughbook, but a MacBook Pro. Capable of running both windows and mac
programs simultaneously. I'll have to baby it more than the Toughbook.
