Nice short-eared owl recording, Rich. I made one last winter with an
MKH60 using my car as a blind. The bird was fairly close by and I had a
good recording level. Unfortunately the bird was flying between me and a=
major state prison, and the recording is dominated by the prison's
ventilation system. The noise is too broad band to filter without damaging=
the owl's call to some degree. A shame.
