Hi Klas,
Many thanks for all you are doing to help. I am baffled too, but can
only go by my ears, my technical knowledge being somewaht limited.
One, thing though, and I might be mistaken, could it be a Phantom
Power issue/conflict between recorder and mic ? Capicitors in the
recorder not blocking the voltage ( whatever that means ! )?
I say this because when I used your 9V Power box ( with 2 XLR's )
that I was sent by mistake ( not needing it), I could swear that
this noise was not apparent, or certainly not as bad. With this the
Phantom power on the FR2 was obviously switched off. It also works
fine (I think) with a Mini Disc recorder and your 3.5mm 9V power
box, again no PP. This all suggests something to do with Phantom
power to me, but I have no idea what.
I am getting a loan of a Tascam Digital 8 track recorder and will
check it with this (it has 48v Phantom Power).
Might need to get one of your Pro6 Power Boxes with output to two
XLR jacks ?
