When you say "..the excellency of the EM158 is when it is 100% in open
air, no tubes or baffles, behind or in front..," are you suggesting to
not use the rubber holders they ship with as they are shown at -

Alternatively, how would you suggest mounting them? How about at the
end of a narrow post?
Today I ordered two elements, and I look forward to experimenting with
them.
I'm thinking of mounting them similar to how I mounted the 183s -

- except the EM158 will be mounted facing forward instead of to the
side and will be held out from the mounting surface on a stiff wire,
looking like a little lollypop, in center of the wind screen.
