Speaking of Great Horned owls. After reviewing material from my recent recording weekend at Heart Mt in southeastern Oregon, it seems as if I didn't get the great recordings of the Great Horned Owls I had set out to record. Either they were distance with too much stream and wind sounds in the foreground. (800kb) http://www.rockscallop.org/test/jh-060923-nt1a_ghow-distant.wav Or they were way to close and clipped badly. (800kb) http://www.rockscallop.org/test/jh-060923-wl183_GHOW-clipping.wav However, I was able to clean that one up pretty well using Audition to cut and paste over the distorted portions above 800Hz and then making some slight adjustments in amplitude on a few accents.
