I was more looking at the practical problem of fitting two mics into the 
focus zone at that location without them shadowing the sound too much. 
In any case it will be interesting to learn what you find out.

You should get 3-4dB better isolation vs a 1:1. At least that seems to 
be what Wahlstrom is saying. Should be a little better gain curve too.

I'm on my 2nd set of machined pieces for the NT2000 M/S and that does 
not count the ones I did not build but found their problems before 
wasting material. And it's still not finished, though getting close so I 
may make it on these parts. Sometimes only trial and error will get us 
where we want to go.
