In recordings with open mics I have never heard things through
headphones I couldn't hear normally. The only time I have heard
something through electronics that I couldn't hear without was
crossbils using a parabolic dish. I don't thing the concept of a
hearing aid works if you have average hearing unless the mic is much
more directional that your ears
