Thanks.  I did check out Taper, and several people did have the 
problem.  I just (finally) read the guarantee, and I guess I was 
supposed to have registered the unit within 10 days.  I didn't.  

I will contact Fancy in STGO, at least I paid for it with a credit 
card so I can prove it.
