Danny
Uk broadband is so fast here in London I got the lions in about 3 seconds.
I just love the owl stuff. The impalas clacking heads seems quiet enough to=
 me.
And when the rain hits on that old tin roof I reached for my umbrella.
Nice work.
Some purists will always want 'noise-free' recordings, but what use is that=
when a typical playback system has more noise than the original sound. I w=
ork a lot with soundscapes for various genre and always manage to use the m=
asking effect to create pleasing and accurate environments. Obviously a goo=
d clean recording is easier to work with but it is the character of the rec=
orded work in the playback situation that is important to me.
A lot of the folk on this list seem to rely on digital plug-ins for post pr=
oduction. I still mostly use analogue for final mastering, preferring to us=
e the ear-brain-finger response, rather than automated preset values. My mi=
xer has all the knobs I need for instant gain & eq manipulation and I can q=
uickly vary the response as required. A-to-D and back in post just adds pot=
ential problems where my own responses straight through the desk work as I =
require.
BTW
If you subscribe to TalkTalk Option 3 phone line & call package around =A32=
