Hello All

Many thanks for the comments which have helped me zero in on a choice
of mic for my bicycle outings.

I plan to use a couple of cheap Rapid Electronics 35-1090 electret
capsules velcroed in a suitable manner to my cycling helmet (which up
to now I have rarely worn). I am currently a lot overweight so maybe
my built in cushioning will be able to deal with the road vibrations.
I will have to think how to provide some form of windshield (hope I
don't end up wearing something akin to a "micky mouse" mask with big
ears).

I will let the group know how I get on.

BTW. I've now had success with the 35-1090 triplets thanks to help
from members of this Group and the UK Wildlife Sound Recording
Society. Apparantly the PIP power from my modern HiMD units is
insufficient to adequately supply three capsules in parallel. With
the help of a 9V battary feed arrangement the triplets are giving the
results originally expected. A boundary type support for the triplets
is nearly finished. I will report back with the full story when I
have field tested it.

Cheers

Tom
