Hi Martin;
I hope you had a great trip in the Arctic and I'd love to hear about it.
I have just received this request from India and do not have the informatio=
n he needs.Could someone and or the archives provide him with the informati=

Also , I have had a great time recording in the prairies.

I am Birder from India who was always fascinated with birdcalls. I went aro=
und seeing how many of them have done good recording of bird songs in India=
and to my surprise no comprehensive bird song library exists for this regi=
on. This forced me to think why not me.
Started to google around and found your website. After all my information g=
athering, I get to see that one needs 3 basic things
1.. A recorder
2.. A parabola
3.. A Mic
For me, the package that Telinga offers is quite exorbitant and unaffordabl=
e. So I was planning to try and build one myself if possible.
Parabolas, being the costliest of all, needs to be built first and then the=
other two. I may even buy a recorder and a shotgun microphone.
Could you help me in choosing the materials for a parabola?
And any tips to build a mic as well?
And your sample recordings are simply stunning!
Cheers
