That's www.minidisc.com.au (not .minidiscs.) The prices offered by this Australian company are about the same as offered in USA. For example, the MZ-NH700 costs $149 AUD =3D $111 USD before shipping, insurance and import tax (if any). The MZ-NH700 is a discontinued model, so it's available in USA through eBay and other auction sites. In the last week, the MZ-NH700 has sold for as little as $74 and as much as $165 on eBay (for the same new recorder, with the same description, sold by the same company!). Add $20 or so for shipping and insurance. The 5-pack of Sony HI-MD discs for $25 AUD =3D $19 USD is a good deal. The best price I have seen in USA is $20 for 5: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Sony-HMD1GL-HiMD-1GB-Mini-Disc?sku= =3D244753 --oryoki |
