Hi all - I did a comparison test with my RH-1 and my NH-900 using a Rode and sent it off to Rob who combined the result into an eight second Quicktime file which would have gone into files section - but theres not enough room! Both recorders seem to be the same - which is good news so Sony haven't tinkered with what works! The only difference I found was when using a FEL pre-amp with the gain setting at 15 for both. With this the RH1 seems to have gained an extra 3 db. Rob wondered if the PIP voltage was slightly increased and was causing it. Any comments Nick? I've been using Sonic Stage 3.4 that came with it - and will upgrade to the new 4.0 in due course when I'm happy all is working well. Andrew |
