Sonosax SX-M2 opinions?

Subject: Sonosax SX-M2 opinions?

Anyone have any experience with (or educated comments on) the Sonosax
SX-M2 mic pre?

yes, I know the 'safe' choice is a Sound Devices 302, or MP-2, albeit it at=

double the weight, and this may be my eventual choice.

I wish the Sonosax had M-S decoding, and better LEDs/Meters.
OTOH, it seems to be the highest gain, lowest noise pre that weighs less th=
an
a pound with batteries.

I'm looking for a (used) L/W pre for experimenting with the new Sony HiMD
and other possible L/W recorders.

thanks in advance,
Clay
