I own a Microtrack and like it OK, though I have gripes.. I've never
tried the r09.
Microtrack Gripes:
-Input gain options are not ideal, for instance, won't accept
pro-level (+4) line level which makes gain-staging with quality
external preamps less than ideal.
-Bootup time
-no Pre-Roll
-built-in preamps are so-so
-phantom power is only rated to 36v, fine for some mics but not all.
-battery life could be better
Plusses:
-simple and convenient! great for quick soundgrabs
