if you are looking to use acoustic amplification like a parabola you will g=
et an increase in directionality, Which is fine when you are there and can =
direct the rig at the owl, but not for passive recording. Unless you can id=
entify somewhere the owl is likely to call from I would guess most of the t=
ime your mic maximum gain axis won't be in the direction of your target.
