Nice recordings Tom, I love to hear my homeland, your recordings certainly
charged my batteries...
Dawn choruses have become steadily quieter over the years with the loss of
much habitat; there is not the intensity anymore, certainly in the
New-World.
Where are you in the UK?

Subject: [Nature Recordists] International Dawn Chorus Day - In The Wet

Last Sunday, 7th May, was International Dawn Chorus Day (well, at
least in Britain it was. I'm surprised there was no mention of it
within this Group as it seems to have been designed for naturerecordists).

Having spent the previous fortnight trying out the new NT4 with the
MZ-NH1 I was up and about early (3.00AM) to capture this special
event.
Unfortunately I was met with very heavy rain. Having made the effort
to get up early I decided to set up the mic in the doorway leading to
my backyard and go for it anyway.
Despite the rain the birds obliged

Did anyone else capture any of the day?
Cheers
