I got some genuine Sonys off fleabay last October, for about =A325 each.
Sadly, there don't seem to be any around at the moment   :-(

I think it's also worth mentioning that the charging circuit in the SD may
get confused with high capacity batteries, if they haven't been fully
charged in a certain time period. Added to which, they will take quite a
while to charge in the machine.

I bought (yes fleabay again)  a Sony 12V car charger that will do both the =
L
& M series Lithium batteries quite quickly without tying up the recorder.
Useful if you're away from the mains for a while.
