Illinois Howl

Hi Stan;
I heard a very similar sound from a coyote once, when I approached within 5=
0 meters of the den. I was in the Okanagan Valley BC and had just climbed a=
 cliff. As I couldn't run away I simply sat down and listened.

Two weeks later, when we parked amongst the sagebrush on the same ranch, th=
e two cubs came within 10 meters of the vehicle to investigate. Unfortuneat=
ely, I never got a good recording of the adult but we have some photos of t=
he cubs.
