Plains Pocket Gopher

Taking a break from taxes to post. Gone again tomorrow for a short ride.

I learned a new species this week.

Now I have to find a way to figure out how to record the conversations
of this grouup of critters.

I found a number of groups of these critters and was informed that they
live their entire lives underground in the dark except when the young
leave the area to establish a new. So I was thinking, there likely is
an advanced communication system by sound for these critters as the
area for a family exceeds 100 yards. I am looking for a cheap way to
monitor and determine that.

I am hoping that my 24/96 system is good enough but understand it may
not based on the Richardson and Franklans work done recently. I can use
up to 8 channels easily if that is required.

Anyone played with recording tunnel communities and figured out how to
do that?
