Spring is near, soon our Kingbirds will be returning and hopefully provide us with more predawn song. Near the end of June, a Cassin's Kingbird would start singing with accompanying insect chirping in the pre-dawn dark from the top of a cottonwood tree near our open bedroom window. The sessions were very lengthy, perhaps as long as half an hour. Here is a small portion of the recording: http://myweb.cableone.net/kingbird/1207-1%20Cas%20Kingbird%20pre%20dawn%20%2023-129%20%20Rev%206%20nsc.mp3 I Hope you like it, Jim Jim Morgan Prescott, Arizona USA http://www.wingsofnature.com [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
