Thanks for your compliments.
I used the WL-183s tree mounted 180deg about six feet up a ten inch
diameter alder leaning out over the lake - recorded with a Sony
MZ-N707 minidisc.
Thanks again for letting me try out your mic vest at the Nature Sounds
Society event at Whiskeytown: I scribbled down "Shure 183" in my
notepad. Somewhere in that same notepad, I scribbled "mount to sides
of tree for binaural effect".=20
The beaver vocalizations are the gleeful moaning sounds around 400Hz
and 800Hz between minutes 16 and 19: they sound somewhat like a person
who doesn't know the words singing along while listening to a song
through headphones.
