The centre section of the connector (ie where it would engage in the machin= e socket) has to be held, then the cable locking ferrule can be unscrewed. Small open ended spanners and fine nose pliers may help. Regarding the connections, the 2 options are: Battery charged whether machine is on or off (standard supplied lead) or battery charged when machine is turned on. There is no capability to run the machine from an external supply through the socket without charging the Li-Ion battery. An alternative would be to get a genuine dummy battery that was supplied with the camcorder chargers, and run the machine from an external (lower voltage) supply. Andy UK |
