Thanks for the tip Volker, I've checket it out.
According to numbers and letters this mike should be less sensitive,
and have more noise. I don't know how importand these numbers really
are, but here we go...
The GA-M2 uses Panasonic WM-61A capsules with the following specs:
Sensitivity: =9635=B14dB (17.7 mV/Pa)
S/N ratio: More than 62 dB (huh, more than?)
The Frequency Response Curve however is extremely flat, that's a big
plus :-) Examples on his site also sound excellent in this matter.
The Soundman OKM II classic has the following according to Rob
Danielson's sheet:
Sensitivity: 260mV/Pa (-11.7db, that's very unusual)
S/N ratio: 32 dB (almost half the value of the Panasonic's)
So.. I have the idea the GA-M2 sounds much better, but it's much less
sensitive. The S/N ratio doesn't really say something about noise if
I'm not mistaken, so I don't know about that. Maybe I should buy
both ;-)
