Hi Po-Jen,
I have the RH10 and experience the same problem. My work around it has been
to place it in inside a thick spongy MD case as well as in my pockets.
So it is not just your unit. I too would rather look at my levels while
recording certain things. I really like so many things about the unit, but
the spin noise and the tiny record buttons are not on that list.
Sounds like a silly idea and may not work at all, but what about a thick
clear plastic case or bag and holding the remote outside the bag. This may
only muffle that noise and won't look pretty.
Wish I could have given a better suggestion.
Best of Luck,
Mark R.
